In February, SmartSky's Business Aviation Team attended SD's Connecting with Customers event in Austin, Texas. Connecting with Customers (CwC), is SD’s annual technical training and customer appreciation event. The week is always packed with industry updates, continuing education, product training, and showcases SD's latest innovations. It is not only a learning opportunity for participants of the show, but for exhibitors as well.
Our Vice President of Product Support, Darren Emery, provided an update on the SmartSky 4G LTE Network to those in attendance.

The main focus of CwC 2018 was Cyber Security. With sessions on Cyber Security in Business Aviation and Risk Management, SD has demonstrated its plan to ensure cyber security through their products and services. Darren commented, "A great example of the collaborative conversation at CwC is the growing acknowledgement of the need to address the aircraft as a part of a cyber security plan. This includes how networks such as SmartSky are looking to address these needs in conjunction with SD’s leadership in this role as a Service Provider."
